Member of the Bar
By the end of September, reality had set in and Mama Bear had come out. I had to protect my girls at all costs. This meant moving forward legally. Hiring an attorney was as stressful and as pathetic feeling as I had imagined it would be. It was surreal, all of it was surreal. How did we end up here, or now, how did I end up here? I signed the paperwork with the same tears that had been falling every single day now for three and a half months. I just wanted it to stop. My attorney handed me a tissue. Unfortunately, it was a stark reminder I was not the first person to ever find herself in this office, at this table, hiring a divorce attorney.
